No, not work related... U.S. District Judge Edward W. Nottingham in Denver blocked the federal "No Call" list, handing another victory to telemarketers who argued the national registry will devastate their industry and lead to the loss of thousands of jobs.

Let's face it. Unemployment is a bitch. And I don't think anyone wants to see thousands more people unemployed at this time. Yet the fact of the matter is, over 51 million people have already signed on the Federal No Call List. That too, has to mean something. Frankly, most telemarketers can fuck off. Really. Find a job that's slightly less scummy or annoying, like scraping roadkill off the roads, or perhaps the legal profession. (Yes, that's less scummy.) Or how about a job that actually contributes something to society in some way?

Judge Nottingham has said that it's basically unfair that telemarketers are blocked, but charities aren't. Well, bucko, it isn't fair that I get bothered when I'm trying to sleep (I work nights) by assholes who live in another state who try to sell me aluminum siding, although I live in an apartment, or the scads of jackasses who seem to think I want to go to Disney World. (Mind you, I wouldn't mind seeing Epcot Center again...)

We have rights to. The right not to be harrassed by people who want to try and sell us shit we don't want. As far as I am concerned, Judge Nottingham, and his fellow moron judge in Oklahoma can get all my telemarketer calls. Let's see how they like it.
