Okay, at work we occassionally get foreign coins. Hell, I'm sure this happens pretty much anywhere. Usually, it's things like Canadian pennies or quarters which are roughly the same size and colour of the American counterparts.

But recently, we got a couple of Euro coins. Odd, but okay. One of them is a 5 cent coin, slightly larger then a penny, and the same copper colour. The other is a 2 cent coin, about the size of a penny and also the same copper colour.

This is the part that requires explanation: Why is there a 2 cent Euro coin? Was there some drastic need that if someone got 2 cents back in change, they only wanted one coin? Is there a 3 cent coin and a 4 cent coin as well? What am I missing here?
