It's a sad state of affairs

When the RNC has Clint Eastwood, obviously suffering from Alzheimer's or senile dementia, give a speech.

.... well, how the hell else do you explain that speech?

That was sad, wasn't it? Specially since he doesn't believe in the same brand of bullshit as what they are currently selling. I mean, fuck, did they take his dog hostage or something?

Maybe he thought he could do some good if he spoke to the teeming masses?

Only if he spoke as he did in his movies...like Dirty Harry, complete with a gun.

Yeah, that would have been perfect, wouldn't it?

Alas....living with reality is not nearly so much fun. Must be why those fuckers lie so much?

Now THAT would have been awesome.

A fraking "magic eight ball" would say they are lying!

Eastwood sort of sits in the middle on politics and changes sides from time to time based on key issues.

He seems to be socially liberal-ish but fiscally-conservative-ish.

I think he might be one of those nearly extinct "true conservatives" I keep hearing about. Though he says he identifies as neither.

He does strike me as an old style Republican. But the fact that he would speak to that crew of crazies tells me how out of touch HE is with his alleged own party.
